About This Site:
This website is dedicated to helping people think, train, and become different. Then content herein is driven by several mantras:
Training the Whole Athlete:
We have a problem, particularly in the Western World, of compartmentalizing and segregating things. The body is one piece and it would be of great benefit to treat it as such. This means psychologists informed by nutrition, trauma-informed personal trainers, abandoning pseudo-science and wishful thinking for actionable change.
Exploring Human Experience:
This website is about rebellion and asking questions (psychology) – towards no one in particular other than myself. Change is, and always has been, an inside job. Fitness (e.g. training) is a consequence of effort and health (e.g. nutrition) is a proxy that grants us the opportunity to make the most of our limited time on Earth.
The Mind is Secondary:
Our physical bodies are unique, intuitive, and powerful vessels, but a vessel nonetheless. It is a vector for expression and delivery. What is expressed or achieved is often dictated by what is begotten in the mind, both deleterious and transcendent. Precious little matters if the above aren’t conducted “with soul”; hence if you can’t, or won’t, do something with heart, why fucking bother?
